When the music is good
In addition to the graphic, musical advances and the addition of characters, the game is now equipped with a history mode and a translation in several languages. This history mode is available for each character and even offers overlaps between each fighter.
The starting pitch is quite simple: a mysterious character called Phantom pushes duelists to fight each other. If these accept, a vow is granted. The motivations of the characters are diverse and varied from revenge to the desire to review his parents...
It is a mode that remains quite simplistic in its way of being, because it actually offers a succession of fights interspersed with dialogue scene between the different protagonists. These moments are quite well punctuated and English dubbing is acceptable. Note that some fights are unlocked only if you finish the story of other characters.
Simple but effective
PHANTOM BREAKER: Omnia is a game that is very accessible in its fighting. Indeed, we are based here on three touches of attack (light, medium, heavy) and three directions (front, rear, down). Each combination will offer precise movement and other manipulations allow you to launch special attacks often devastating.
Key combinations are usually the same for all characters. Thus, pressing before and a light attack tends to send a remote attack. However, each of the 20 characters playable has its own identity especially via its combat style. Fast, powerful... it's up to you to see which character and what style of combat you knows best.
In addition to the story mode, there is also a solo mode that allows you to chain the fight against the IA. An online mode that offers you the same possibility, but this time against other players. A mode versus to play against a friend and of course a training mode story to take the game in hand.
Impossible to talk to you about versus online view The test version we had. It will therefore be necessary to see if the netcode holds the road and if the players are at the rendezvous. As usual, take the time to discover the characters before you start!
And now ?
Phantom Breaker Omnia is the little Fun Combat game that does not have a lot of pretension, but that could have a good time. Note that the grass Weebs and other Japanese animation lovers will certainly find the title even more pleasant given its atmosphere. Indeed, many feminine characters, the majority of which is sometimes doubtful and the most animated mammary assets than in an AAA.
The game accuses a little age and we see that graphically, it is not always at the top even though the menus and the UI in general have been revised. Well after, it bombards so many effects in all the senses that we do not pay too much attention, but still.
The game is planned on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows and Switch at a price surrounding the 40 euros. A cost that remains very important given the quality of the title. Nevertheless, the game promises you a few hours solo via its history mode and even more via online mode.
