Nintendo purchased the Dynamo Pictures animated studio

Nintendo announced the acquisition of the Japanese studio Dynamo Pictures. According to the Nintendo press release, the acquisition is designed to strengthen the structure of planning and production of visual content in the Nintendo group. It is expected that the cost of acquisition will be 34.5 million Japanese yen (about $ 250,000).

After the transaction was closed in October 2022, Dynamo Pictures will be renamed Nintendo Pictures. It will specialize in the development of visual content using intellectual property of Nintendo.

Dynamo Pictures is not particularly known among fans of anime. Nevertheless, this CG animation studio helped in creating various products in the anime industry.
